Quaker Speak Video Playlist featuring QLSP/Friends Center Students, Alum, and Staff

As many Friends and those looking to learn more about Quakerism utilize, we invite you to look through this playlist collection of videos that feature QLSP Students, Staff, and Alum over the years. The first video featured below was made by QuakerSpeak founding director Jon Watts in honor of QLSP’s 25th anniversary in 2017. We’re so grateful that this project has been one of the many ways this community supports the wider Quaker community and change work.

“The idea for QuakerSpeak came directly out of my experience of QLSP, where for my senior project in 2006 I released an album of original music based on stories of Early Friends. For the project, I interviewed Max with a tape recorder (my first “professional” interview!) and included some snippets of tape on a few tracks on the album. Six years later, I was right back in front of Max–just with better equipment this time! My connection to the Guilford community featured heavily in the first 6 years of the project as the community of faculty, staff, students and alumni were not just accessible interviewees, but deep and thoughtful Friends whose contributions helped carry the project to what it is today… a powerful force for deepening and broadening our spiritual community, to the tune of 4.5 million views!”
