

Levi Coffin is known as the president of the Underground Railroad
He is credited with starting the Underground Railroad through Guilford County. He and his wife helped enslaved people to escape in Guilford County until they moved to Indiana in 1826.
This is the Underground Railroad Tree
It is known as a silent witness to the actions of enslaved people trying to escape.
